Getting help using the FBIS AFRICA platform

We are so pleased that you are using FBIS AFRICA! The site offers a broad range of features which we have documented in the Biodiversity Information Management System (BIMS).

This includes information on FBIS and BIMS, which is the multi-tenant platform, of which FBIS AFRICA is a tenant. Information is provided for Users, Administrators and Developers.

There is also a short video giving an overview of FBIS AFRICA, which will familiarise you with key aspects of the platform and allow you to explore the platform, use spatial layers, filter data, view dashboards, and extract data.

Lastly, although we try hard to provide you with a seamless experience, you may at times encounter an issue with the site. If you do encounter such an issue, please report it on our issue tracker and we will do our best to resolve it as soon as possible!

FBIS AFRICA Testing site - Coming soon

For practicing the workflows for capturing data on FBIS AFRICA, please use the FBIS AFRICA Staging site. Here you can add "dummy" data as the data are overwritten with a mirror image of the FBIS AFRICA Production (Live)  site every week. The same login works of both FBIS AFRICA Production and FBIS AFRICA Staging.
